1. Common Barn Owl
Definitely coming into a tie with our Bubo, the Barn Owl is one of the most widely distributed species of owl around the world. Many legends and myths surround the beautiful, yet mysterious aura it emanates- ranging from demons, heros, spirits of the dead, and even aliens.
The Barn Owl has also made countless appearances in art and literature, including a Hardy Boys mystery, and a few fashion shows. There are also many horror movies associated with the owl, because of the eerie space between it’s small pitch black eyes and it’s sharp, grinning beak.
